Great FFA game between **Stanas, ZeroAPM, and me** on a **Limited Rules KoTH map**, with no base attacking, economy attacking, or lord killing. I spent most of the early game heavily sieging ZeroAPM, but later had to shift pressure onto Stanas because he had a forward tower close enough to hit the middle keep.
After sustained treb and cata pressure, Stanas eventually ran out of gold and couldn’t keep up with the repairs and management, forcing him to abandon the tower. That gave me the opening to retake the keep. Their first major attack caused me to take a big loss, so I had to regroup and rebuild a larger army. Fortunately, I had already run the timer down quite a bit, and I was able to send in another strong wave, retake the middle, and hold the keep until the timer hit zero.
GG. We played KoTH with No Market, and I actually had the full economy setup going this time: wheat, hops, bakeries, breweries, and inns.(I had shield restrictions)
Stanas took the middle keep early and held it for a while, but I started making a comeback after putting heavy siege pressure on him and pushing him back into his keep. Eventually I retook the middle keep, kept pressure on both Stanas and Ford, and was able to bring the timer down to 0.
Ford helped a bit with catapults and trebuchets, but not enough to help Stanas hold on for the win. Overall, really tough and fun game.
Zero APM took the KoTH keep early and stacked it with a much stronger army, so I couldnt really contest the middle right away. He also tried pressuring my base, but I had a few archers on my iron hill that helped stop it.
While Zero held the keep, Swix was building up, and I decided to play the long game instead of forcing an early fight. I focused on building a stronger economy with wheat farms, mills, apples, and then started massing maces with some pikes.
Once I had enough troops, I made my move and barely managed to clear Zero off the keep. Swix then started hitting the middle hard with trebs and catapults, so I had to answer with my own catapults and spread troops around the middle hills. He took the hill briefly, but I forced him back and kept applying pressure until both players were pushed away.
In the end, I held the KoTH keep long enough to run the timer down to 0. GG.
Marko attacked me early and managed to take out my stable, but that was pretty much all he got from it. I was able to recover, put pressure back on him, and instead of playing it out, he gave up his Lord. Meanwhile, Swix built up some defensive towers on the gray position. After that, we pushed Eliminator together and closed out the game. GG!
Turbo tried an interesting cata stack on the iron hill. Unfortunately for him, I spread my catas out, which made it hard for him to hit them effectively.
I was able to knock down the stacked catas on the iron hill, then move my archers around and take map control of the middle hills. When he tried cowing my archers, I just moved them slightly away from the cowed area and shot everything down.
It was over pretty quickly. GG!
